AIRLINE SCREENINGby Rental Jets
Screening Preparation

Know Exactly
What's Coming.

Airline screening is a multi-stage process designed to test technical knowledge, flying skills, personality, and trainability. We prepare you for every single stage — from the online test to the simulator check. No guesswork. No surprises.

01

Online Technical Test

The first gate. A timed multiple-choice test covering A320 systems, general aviation knowledge, and operational procedures. Airlines use this to filter candidates before investing in face-to-face assessment.

What to Expect

40-80 multiple-choice questions depending on the airline
Strict time limit — typically 60-90 minutes
A320 systems knowledge is the core focus
General aviation theory and operational procedures
Passing threshold varies by airline (typically 70-80%)

How We Prepare You

910+ questions mirroring the real test format
Timed practice sessions to build speed
Detailed explanations for every answer
Focus on understanding, not memorization
Coverage of all 19 A320 system categories
02

Technical & HR Interview

A 30-60 minute combined interview. The technical part checks your flight preparation knowledge, procedural understanding, and aircraft familiarity. The HR part evaluates soft skills, personality fit, and how you handle conflict.

What to Expect

Technical: flight preparation scenarios and procedures
Technical: 'walk me through' system descriptions
Technical: decision-making and threat assessment
HR: conflict resolution and crew resource management
HR: motivation, career goals, and company fit
HR: situational judgment questions

How We Prepare You

Mock interview sessions with a TRI instructor
Common question database with model answers
System description practice (clear, structured delivery)
Decision-making framework training
Tips from someone who's been on the assessment panel
03

Simulator Evaluation

The make-or-break stage. An A320 simulator session adjusted to your experience level. Assessors observe nine core competencies and evaluate your trainability — not perfection.

What to Expect

Rated pilots: Mini-LOFT with Airbus-specific failures
Non-Airbus rated: Basic IFR with decision-making exercises
Cadets: IFR flying, instrument scanning, basic handling
Nine core competencies assessed throughout
Emphasis on trainability over current skill level
Typical duration: 1-2 hours in the simulator

How We Prepare You

Fixed-base sim in Gdańsk for procedures & systems
Full Flight Simulators in Vilnius, Madrid, Barcelona
Scenarios tailored to your experience level
All nine competencies practiced and debriefed
Realistic screening conditions with TRI instructor
Detailed scoring and improvement plan
04

Psychometric Testing

Personality profiling and cognitive assessment. Airlines want to understand how you think, react under pressure, and fit within their operational culture. There are no 'right' answers — but understanding the format helps you perform naturally.

What to Expect

Personality profiling questionnaire
Cognitive ability tests (spatial, numerical, verbal)
Situational judgment scenarios
Behavioral pattern analysis
Consistency checks built into the assessment

How We Prepare You

Format familiarization so nothing surprises you
Practice with similar cognitive test types
Understanding what airlines look for in profiles
Tips for authentic, confident responses
Stress management techniques for test conditions

A Note on Preparation

As stated in official assessment guidelines: "Pilot Assessors will determine trainability, therefore no preferential treatment will be given to candidates who have been practicing in advance."However, experience consistently shows that prepared candidates perform significantly better and feel more confident. Preparation doesn't give you an unfair advantage — it gives you the confidence to show your true potential.

Recommended Preparation Timeline

Start the question bank

Work through 2-3 system categories per week. Focus on understanding, not speed.

4 weeks

Complete all categories + first sim session

Book a Discovery or Screening Ready session. Get familiar with the cockpit environment.

2 weeks

Review weak areas + intensive sim prep

Focus on your weakest systems. Book an Intensive Prep session if possible.
